Keyboarding Lesson 1

1. Take a Typing Test to find out how many words per minute can be typed

2. Logon to Micro Type to become familiar with the keyboarding program and develop proper keyboarding techniques and build or improve basic speed and accuracy.

Micro type Instructions:

  1. Start- Programs- South Western Keyboarding- Microtype 3.0
  2. NEW User
  3. Add- first name- Last Name- and use the same password as you logged on to the computer
  4. Follow instructions- then go on to alphabetic keyboarding

3. Create pictures in Paint for the upcoming Moon Myth Project

9/21 Inner Hardware Lesson 2

1. Take a tour via The Internet of the internal  hardware of the computer: Lesson 2 Inner Hardware

2. Learn the proper names for the inner hardware of the computer and add vocabulary to notebook using this website: Yasmin's Room

9/22 Metric System: Inspiration Project

1. Use Inspiration to create a graphical organizer to show how to measure length, volume, mass, and temperature.

2. Discuss and take notes on how to measure using websites and Science Notebook

3. Save file as "metric" in the "inspiration" folder
