Quiz Thursday: Parts of Microscope, how to use and handle microscope, magnification, focal plane, field of view, measuring under the microscope

1/14

Focal Plane TSWBAT

1. Make a wet mount of a 3D object and focus in on layers.

2. Understand that “Focal Plane” is the horizontal plane as viewed under the microscope that is in focus.

3.  Demonstrate knowledge of the Parts of Microscope, how to use and handle microscope, magnification, focal plane, field of view, measuring under the microscope on an evaluation

Brine Shrimp Alive TSWBAT

1. Make a wet mount of a 3D object and focus in on layers and  then observe the Brine Shrimp under the microscope and describe it's characteristics

2. Observe the Brine Shrimp under the microscope and describe it's characteristics

3.  Measure a Brine Shrimp by estimating how many would fit across the diameter and then dividing the field of view by that number

NJCCCS 5.1  & 5.5
